about Cat

they/them/their

Cat was raised in San Francisco as a dancer and musical theatre performer. They moved to New York to study acting at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and graduated in May 2020 with a BFA in Drama having studied at the Meisner Studio, Stonestreet Studios, Tisch's prestigious acting program in Berlin, and Playwrights Horizons Theatre School.

Though Cat has a soft spot for devised theatre drenched in German expressionism, most of the work they've done since moving to Los Angeles has been comedic acting and hip hop dancing. Their type has been described as "teenager popping their cherry in a coming-of-age indie" and "perfect for a Glee reboot," so if you know Greta Gerwig or Ryan Murphy PLEASE contact Cat at the bottom of this page.

"In-State" Animation

A desperate, constipated, lonely teenager somehow might fit in with other constipated loners at a community college. Written and created by fellow Tisch alum Lincoln Anderson, "In-State" tells your story, probably. Follow @instatecartoon for more.

Cat as Helen, animated by Grant Clark.

"COVID! The Musical" on
Comedy Central

Cat recently co-starred alongside Adam Waheed in a Comedy Central sketch imagining a new Broadway musical about Covid. Watch below for a healthy dose of inappropriate laughter.

Choreography

Cat has been trained to "wear all the hats" - they've worked as a professional performer, choreographer, director, and dance teacher in San Francisco, NYC, Dublin, and Los Angeles. For over a decade they have taught many styles of creative movement to ages 18 months-18 years, and owe their dedication and passion for physical storytelling to the teachers at Star Dance Studio, Musical Theatre Works, and A.C.T. that invested their time and knowledge into the 9 year-old theatre kid that wanted to choreograph for Hannah Montana (and would still love to choreograph for Miley Cyrus). Cat currently teaches tap and jazz at Liv'Art Dance Studio in North Hollywood and choreographed "The Drowsy Chaperone" at Santa Monica High School.
